Indian Head Massage at Spirit Song
A sacred touch to soothe the mind and awaken the crown

Indian Head Massage at Spirit Song is a gentle ceremony of release and renewal. Rooted in the ancient healing traditions of Ayurveda, this treatment focuses on the upper chakras — the head, neck, shoulders, and face — where tension often gathers and clarity longs to return.

Through rhythmic strokes, intuitive pressure, and sacred oils, this massage calms the nervous system, clears mental fog, and invites the spirit to rise. It is both grounding and elevating — a ritual that reconnects you with your breath, your body, and your inner light.

What happens during an Indian Head Massage
session?
You will be asked to remove your clothing from your head, neck, and upper back and shoulders and will be given a towelling wrap to cover up, this is to prevent oil from getting on your clothes and to allow the therapist access to the relevant areas to massage.
The massage usually begins with the shoulders and upper back, then moves to the arms, and finally the head, scalp, and face. The whole massage is performed while lying down on your back on the massage table.

During an Indian head massage, I will use a variety of techniques to massage the head, neck, and shoulders:
-
Stroking: Circular strokes on the scalp
-
Kneading: Deep kneading movements on the neck, shoulders, and scalp
